The parent company, Roga SAS AG, a long-established producer of beds and mattresses, decided to celebrate their 120th corporate anniversary in a way that will remain special to the hearts of their clients. That is why they launched a capsule collection of sporty, trendy and state-of-the-art mattresses that were expected to reflect the qualities of Switzerland. They came out with a brand new design that was aimed to attract attention and turn heads from everywhere: it was a special mattress border embroidery in the company colours of Roga SAS AG on a pioneer mattress fabric, one of whose successor was the cutting-edge Spacer AirMesh 3D fabric that you can find today on the borders of SwissTech mattresses. The anniversary capsule collection was deemed to be so acknowledged and popular in a wide range of people, that it laid the groundwork for a completely new branch of products. The mattress designers developed the initial concept of Roga SAS AG’s anniversary capsule collection: they aimed to merge the original technical, mechanical allure with a powerful statement of elaborateness. When they were on the brink of making the decision about the final brand name, they incorporated the two main elements that they wished to reflect on the product portfolio of the brand: loyalty to the homeland and allegiance to the professional technological heritage. Two years passed after the international acclaim of the initial capsule collection and a new brand of style was born that instantly brought a breath of fresh air to the bedding and sleeping industry. They called it: SwissTech.
